Hello Friends,
Yesterday I had the great pleasure of visiting Bardic Vintage Books owned by Kath Giblin in the perfect tiny town of Llantwit Major. Next door to Bardic is the crisply cool No. 6 Gallery : Oriel 6 owned by her best friend and Visual Artist Nick Davies.
No bigger than a hobbit hole, visiting Bardic Books is a truly magical experience. Kath has curated a cornucopia of old and new books, with a rich profusion of colour, texture and local crafts. The whole shop has an otherworldly, timeless quality. I could have been stepping into a bookshop on the Disc-world or Diagon Alley.
Bardic Vintage Books is everything a bookshop should be, treasure house, time machine, comfy retreat and meeting place. When I arrived Kath said welcome to my world and thats exactly what it is, another world.
If you ever have the opportunity I urge you to visit it.
But why was I there?
Kath, with the assistance of the Dylan Thomas Birthplace has created an evening of chat, music and open mic poetry sessions all exploring aspects of Dylan's life and work.
Date for your diary: 20th July, Llantwit Majors medieval Town Hall, starting at 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased here.
As part of this amazing community event I have been invited to exhibit a limited selection of my Under Milk Wood prints at Gallery 6. Sadly there was no time to schedule a talk from me but I will be deviding my evening between Gallery 6 and the Town Hall ready to discuss anything and everything about illustrating Under Milk Wood and the publication of my book later this year.
Pre-orders for the book are now open.
During the evening award winning authors and Dylan fans Alun Gibbard and Phil Carradice will be in conversation talking all things Dylan - and there's plenty to talk about!

With the support of Love from the Artist I will be selling greeting cards, notebooks, prints and calendars on the night.
Can't make it? Don't worry you can order greeting cards directly from Love From the Artist here.
For all those wanting to view the original drawings here are the tour dates so far - more are being added frequently!

To help fund the cost of the exhibition including framing, transport, workshops and insurance, prints of most of the art are available to buy in my online shop. If you like what you see please consider helping out and buying something.
Thank you and see you all soon.
